SQE GLOBAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

THE CHALLENGE

Safety, quality and the environment are inextricably linked when you are dealing with industrial gasses around the globe. safety is at the heart of it. Our challenge was to create a programme that would ensure there are 'great safety conversations' happening throughout the business and every employee engages in regular training and testing against the safety standards.

OUR APPROACH

We created a unique identifier for the programme and identified the people best placed to deliver the programme in a timely, time effective and effective way. The front line supervisors and managers of the teams that undertake the work.  We designed a programme called Train&Test that is delivered in the workplace in 15-20 minute bite-sized sessions.

 

Design features

  • Supervisors have easy access to session plans and learning materials.

  • Materials provide clear, easy to follow instructions for use.

  • All supervisors understand the programme and how to deliver it. 

  • All supervisors gain the delivery and engagement skills needed. 

RESULTS

Every supervisor across the 12 participating country business units have access to 'Train&Test' materials. The programme is tailored specifically to the company's unique context and has had a major impact on the safety of the business and transformed training.

 

Each site has access to a specifically designed branded storage unit containing the training modules.

 

Every business unit is now engaged in annual cycles of training and testing delivered by the managers and supervisors of those units. All evaluations show that Train&Test is known to all employees and training is an on-going business rhythm in the business units. 

Site safety has consistently improved across all regions during the period since the launch.
