DESIGNING & DELIVERING MANAGER TRAINING
FRAZER-NASH MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME
THE CHALLENGE
To design and deliver a management development programme for this leading edge consultancy business. The consultancy required a suite of learning modules that would support highly talented engineering consultants, leading experts in their field, to become exceptional managers too.
The programme needed to be flexible so that it met the needs of those consultants who were new to management and those that already had management experience gained in a range of backgrounds from engineering to the armed services.
DELIVERY
We created a suite of six management development modules each a day in duration designed to be delivered by us at 4-6 week intervals to a cohort of 150 managers over multiple years.
The key focus was to ensure that all managers became excellent coaches as well as providing the cohort with the vital skills of leadership, feedback giving, performance management, negotiation and influencing, coaching and flexibility, conflict and change.
The cohort required a highly practical learning intervention with a wide range of techniques and approaches that could be practised during the modules. We delivered the practical work underpinned with psychological models based theory to meet the needs of this highly intelligent group of managers.
Feedback has been exceptional and has identified that we achieved an appropriate balance of practical and theory across all the modules.
